TRAINING PARTNERSHIP
PALM BEACH STATE COLLEGE ON-THE-JOB TRAINING PARTNERSHIP
Palm Beach State College has developed a training program that fills the need for the ‘hands on – truck ready’ security technician. The Security & Automation Systems Technician (PSAV) program is designed from the bottom up to accommodate training hours, substantive classroom and hands on training classes and financial considerations for both non-employed and currently employed technicians. It also allows security companies to sponsor a student and make timely, easy payments instead of paying the whole fee upfront. If you qualify, federal funds are available for employment assistance.
The Integration Association of Florida is part of a Business Partnership Council helping to support this program through promotion and financial support, being responsible for one of three of full scholarships in the inaugural class.
When the student graduates they will literally be ready to handle every basic installation and service need, to include Nicet Level 1 Fire, Audio, Video Design/Tech and Industrial Instrumentation. Also the bonus will be they will be BASA/FASA certified and background checked. This is a win/win situation for the security and fire industry companies.
