Words don't do justice in describing the care that our members show to each other. I witnessed many old friend reunions, but also dozens and dozens of new relationships taking shape. With over 200 attendees across the events last week, it was time well spent bringing IAF to our members in their own backyard.
I want to extend my sincere appreciation to Erick Arbé who traveled from South Carolina to spend the week with us. Erick shared his deep knowledge and important information on how to leverage AI within our businesses, how to develop an AI policy for your team, along with breaking news updates regarding AI as the week went on. The other highlight of the week was connecting with our sponsors. Special thanks to all of the sponsors who supported us throughout the various events last week. We appreciate your engagement and we are so grateful for your support. Without you our Fall Road Show would not be possible!
In addition, to the success of the Fall Road Show, last week our Board of Directors also came together for our 2027 Strategic Planning & Budget meeting. Special thanks to Jason Rountree and Summit Fire & Security for hosting this meeting. I'm very happy to report that we have approved our 2027 Budget and set our goals for next year! 2027 is going to be another fantastic year for IAF!
Our Board members work so well together and always come up with new ideas and ways to raise the bar for our members. The latest example of this came from our Strategic Planning Meeting last week, and that is an exciting new feature for our 2027 Annual Convention. In February, we are stepping up the Technician Training Track to feature hands-on Learning Labs on Friday, February19th! These labs will cover key areas including Security, Fire, Video Surveillance, Fiber, and Access Control. We will have mobile training labs onsite, and this hands-on work will dramatically increase the technical skills of your technicians! Eligible participants will fall into the 0 to 3 years of experience range as a Technician, and must complete one of our Tech Essential online training bundled packages prior to February. I highly encourage you to identify your technicians that can benefit from this training combined with the hands-on Learning Labs and plan to sign them up for our Annual Convention!
Which brings me to my last point. Registration is now live the 2027 IAF Annual Convention. All of the details are below, and I look forward to seeing you in Bradenton in February!!
